Household Goods provides a full range of furniture and household items, free of charge, to help people in need make a home.
To furnish thousands of homes a year, Household Goods relies on financial donations and requires a steady supply of good quality furniture and household items to transform empty apartments into homes for families.
Household Goods is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Acceptable donations can be dropped off at Household Goods, 530 Main Street, Acton, MA 01720.
Household Goods is closed most major holiday weekends; click here to see a Calendar of Holiday Closings. Please do not leave items when we are closed. Please contact us if you are unsure of items that we will accept.

Household Goods has received a $100,000 Cummings Foundation Grant as part of Cummings $25 Million Grant Program. Household Goods was chosen from a total of 590 applicants during a competitive review process and will receive $25,000 a year over the next four years.
The funding will help Household Goods furnish homes across Massachusetts for people who need but cannot afford basic furniture and household items. People who are referred to Household Goods receive basic household items that create a home environment to last for years.
