Donate Dressers and Bureaus to Household Goods

It’s easy to take for granted having a dresser or bureau to store your clothes. This basic furnishing can make a place feel like home. Household Goods provides gently used dressers free of charge to individuals and families in need. Whether you’re downsizing or saying “goodbye” to your existing dresser or bureau, please consider donating it to Household Goods.

Where Does Your Dresser or Bureau Go?

When Household Goods receives your donated dresser or bureau, they will be provided, free of charge, to people in need. Those people include:

  • Recently homeless
  • Veterans
  • Fleeing domestic violence
  • Children, youth or elderly in need of services
  • Living with disability or illness
  • Victims of fire

 Any Limitations to Donating Dressers?

We cannot accept items that are broken. Nor do we accept metal cabinets and wall-mounted types.

Other Donations Along With Your Dresser?

In addition to your dresser or bureau, we encourage you to donate sheets and towels, mattresses, box springs, bunk beds, and bed pillows to help people in need make a home. You can find a complete list of donation guidelines here.
