Household Goods recently received a $500,000 gift from The Manton Foundation towards its Build the Way Home Capital Campaign. The $2M Capital Campaign will make it possible for Household Goods to greatly improve service to donors, volunteers, and people in need who are seeking help to make a home.

Specifically, the campaign will fund construction of a road that will circle the building, add an additional 4,000 sq.ft. of building space, and create a second entrance to receive incoming donations. This will improve safety for people visiting or volunteering at the site, allow space to organize and prepare  incoming donations, and expand capacity for both people donating household goods and people in need receiving furniture and other essential household items to fill their empty homes.

“After several years of planning and design, we are permitted and ready  to execute our plans to address the challenges we face in meeting the evolving needs of our donors, clients, and volunteers,” says Sharon Martens, Executive Director. “This outstanding  gift from The Manton Foundation underscores the value of this project to the community. We hope The Manton Foundation’s generosity will inspire others to also participate in the campaign.”
