Spring Break with Copper Penny Flowers

Apr 14, 2021

On March 27, 30 people gathered to take part in a virtual flower-arranging class presented by Copper Penny Flowers, a Concord-based florist, as a fundraiser to support Household Goods. The event was part of Household Goods’ 30th anniversary event series.

Copper Penny Flowers’ owner Jennifer Eaton demonstrated how to arrange and secure a springy hand-tied bouquet, ready for gifting or to drop right into a vase. Class participants worked with fresh flowers such as roses, clematis, daffodils, parrot tulips, ranunculus, and sweet peas.

“This event was a great way to welcome spring,” said Sharon Martens, Executive Director of Household Goods. “We are very grateful to Jennifer for offering her skills and knowledge to create beautiful bouquets, while helping Household Goods to provide individuals and families with furniture and household items they need to make a home.”

Through the event, Household Goods raised over $1,000.
